I love hats too and envy the people who look so amazing in them.
But am always at a loss with the locks coming out from under them.
My long hair is a hard match for most hats. Medium and short hair I beleive are way more hat-friendly do's.
Do I braid my hair in one or two, tuck behind the ears and let hang, sweep it all up and under or spend the time and straighten the tresses to look nice under the hat.
This seems to defeat my main objective in a hat.....looking great and chic while hiding the fact that I got ready in zero time. S do I cut my hair for a hat?...or wait for the right hat to one day to find me.
Hopelessly hatless.

Right there with you Jeanne. I get the itchy head too and dread having to take the hat off after wearing it for awhile, wondering what kind of a hairdo will emerge. I like other people in hats and would love to wear them, but I just can't seem to find one that fits and looks great on me. I have one winter hat that I found at a second hand store and I will only wear it if I know I won't have to take it off in public. You both look great in hats and I love seeing all the different styles. You've inspired me to hat hunt again.

Oh...you two look so cute in hats! I WISH I did - I have had a long standing love/hate relationship with hats, I wish we could attend counseling and solve our differences. Differences like 1: Itchy head syndrom under hat, after a while. Which, to be honest I don't understand. I have clean hair - does my head sweat or are my hair folicals fussy about fabric?...I don't get it. 2: The "looked great in store, not so much at home" dilema - I'm thinking they must have a completely different mirror at the store than I do at home, different manufacturer maybe? 3: Hard to find cute hats for my face shape &/or clothing choice of the day problem - I just don't know why I have the hardest time with this piece of the puzzel. There is not too much "cute factor" left once I get the cute hat on my head! Again - I don't get it. I have tried hats over a span of many years and at this point I guess I am left admiring hats from afar, hats on other people and possibly migrating toward really adorable scarves! Rock on with your cute hats, ladies!!

I have always loved hats but I have never been able to find one that didn't make my head look like it was swimming in my hat. Lo and behold Esther's Hats on Cliffe. She found me a hat alright, a kid's hat, but it fits for the first time in my life and I wear it proudly out and about! Hats rock!
