Thanks to Your Generosity, People In Crisis Have More This Holiday
Good afternoon. Last night, Our Big Earth and a huge crew of community friends and partners came together to read Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol and raise money for people in crisis.
The evening was intimate and warm, with tasty treats courtesy of Fran Yates and Thrifty Foods as well as tons of holiday cheer and generosity.

For a few hours, we all came together in support of the Lilli House and the Salvation Army Men’s Shelter to take part in this holiday tradition.
Together we raised more than $1,100.
We’d like to thank the following folks and local businesses for their fantastic contributions that made this special night happen:
Fran Yates, Patsy O’Brien, Ross Stevenson and Kymme Patrick from Theatreworks, Sound Advice Music Shop, Seeds Natural Foods Market, Laughing Oyster Bookshop, Planet Kids, Thrifty Foods, City of Courtenay, Greg Phelps, Fred Bates, Gen, Steve, Conner and Madeline McNamee, Bruce Curtis, Luke Guthrie and Ali Romanow, Doug Cox, Bobby Herron, Anh Le, Colleen Dane, Eagle FM, Comox Valley Record, Sure Copies and Meaghan Cursons.
Thanks to all of you as well for supporting people who struggle deeply any time of year.
Happy Holidays and “God Bless Us, Every One”
