Mom Time – Time to Plan A Pedicure Party
Now that the kids are all back in school and we’ve had a few weeks to adjust to the go-go schedules of Fall, it’s time to put a call in to the women in your life and put your feet up for a night of wine, friendship and taking care of your toes.
If there is one thing that makes us all feel a bit refreshed, extra pretty (never discount the healing power of feeling pretty) and even potentially better parents it’s a good old fashioned pedicure party.

The onset of the rainy season means we all need some pamper producing mom time – and it’s always more fun when you can get the professionals to do all of the heavy lifting for you. So, here are two of our favorite spots around the Comox Valley and some recommendations for extras too:
Oh Spa: The crew over at Oh Spa is all about giving moms a break and making truly memorable evenings out this time of year. Book in advance for larger groups and get down to some serious pampering in their spa.
With the Old House Restaurant reopening in a few short weeks, you can add delicious treats and beverages to your night out. Through September, you can even get a deluxe manicure and pedicure with use of the pool and hot tub for a special rate.
Ahhhh.
Flawless Beauty Bar: For a more casual, but very fun option, book a pedicure party at Flawless Beauty Bar in downtown Courtenay. You bring the food and wine. They provide the relaxation and pretty pedis.
It’s a great way to hang out with friends, check out some super hot cosmetics and smile.
Alternatives:
If heading out to the spa isn’t your cup of tea, but turning your tootsies into works of art sounds like a great addition to an evening, why not get creative? Here are a couple of ways to get the girls together that we love:
Book a dinner at Tria Culinary Studio/Blue Moon Winery: Did you know that you can gather a crew of your favorite women together and book an evening full of dinner, wine (and even pedicures if you book your own esthetician) at one of Courtenay’s hottest private dining locals. Spend an evening out at Nature’s Way Farm sipping local wine and enjoying the culinary delights of Tria owner/chef Kathy Jerritt.
Spend a girls weekend away at Parksville’s Tigh-Na-Mara Resort. It’s not the budget way to go, but for a full-on relax, heading a short drive south for some food, wine and pamper action may be just what the mommy ordered. Book ahead and get nice group rates too.
This is in no way a comprehensive list as there are lots of great ways to treat the girls to a night out full of pampering. But, now that I’ve got you daydreaming a bit, think relaxation and let us know your favorite spot to kick back and decompress.
