Easy Fall Kids Crafts – Apple Wreaths
On the eve of Fall settling in to the Valley, we definitely don’t have to wonder when the rains will set in. While it’s great to get outside on these misty days and do some puddle jumping, crafty afternoons full of hot chocolate, muffins and glue sticks seem a bit more user friendly as we get used to the chill.
Apples in all forms seem to be popping up all over the place. So, we went with this easy, kid-friendly craft to do a little celebrating and create a sweet decoration for the front door.

Here’s what you need:
- An apple cut-out template from DLTK.com (scroll to bottom of page)
- Crayons or colored pencils
- Thick paper (we used leftover watercolor paper)
- Rafia
- A hole punch
- Scissors
- A glue stick
Directions:
1. Cut out your apples. We used about a dozen.

2. Color them in and glue them together in the shape of a wreath.

3. Punch two holes in the bottom of the wreath and string rafia through them to make a bow. Punch a hole at the top and string rafia to hang it with.

4. You can add a little note or other embellishments. But, really, that’s all you need.

It’s a cute, easy project that your kids can have fun with and you don’t have to slave over a hot glue gun and tons of instructions to make.
Enjoy these cool days and get creative!
