Get Your YANA Christmas Crackers & Support Local Families

I‘ve made my own, even considered picking up the heavily discounted ones at Winners after the holidays. But, really, nothing beats Christmas Crackers for a good cause, which is why we here at OBE want to encourage all of you to score some cool crackers from the Comox Valley’s own YANA (You Are Not Alone) – an annual fundraiser that helps families whose children must travel for medical care with the cost of that.

About 5,000 Christmas Crackers are available this year and lucky folks will open one this year with some fantastic prizes in addition to the usual Christmas Cracker excitement of pulling the snap, blowing the “horn”, reading your quote and discovering what color hat or which toy you are lucky to receive.

Once again this year, Mark the Gold Guy of Comox Valley Pawn Brokers has donated the grand prize. This year Mark chose a beautiful diamond and emerald tennis bracelet appraised at $2,725. Be sure to check your crackers carefully after opening them so you don’t miss one of these prizes.

The cracker opening tradition in support of Y.A.N.A. has been an annual part of family dinners and Christmas parties for many years. So don’t miss out on a lovely way to celebrate the season and support local families too.

Since 1986 Y.A.N.A has assisted families having to travel outside of the Comox Valley for medical treatment for their children. Y.A.N.A. relies on fund-raisers such as this throughout the year so they can continue to keep families together during these difficult times.

The crackers sell for $2.50 each and are available at the following locations:
