Mom's Favorite Things – ESPE Wallets
It’s not often that I treat myself to something totally just for me – a new handbag, a great pair of shoes. I try to stay pretty classic when it comes to style so that my finds can last and last. But, some things are just too fun and too much me to pass up. That’s where ESPE jumps in.
This Toronto-based company is all about those great feminine touches like that great handbag or – in my case – a super fun wallet that I totally love.
I’ve been splurging on these fun wallets for years now and was so excited recently when my last one had finally taken its last breath and I could spring on over to Uranus in downtown Courtenay and score myself one of their latest collection. Store manager Sioban had told me weeks ago that owls were on the way. I couldn’t wait. My mouth was nearly watering.
ESPE is such a great company, and I’m always excited to see Canadian women and their brilliant creativity make it big on the international fashion stage. Besides being whimsical, stylish and wonderfully feminine, these wallets also hold up to the test – mine especially that generally involves being thrown around, chewed on by small, teething children and the works. The last one made it nearly three years until the seam split on the change holder and it had to be laid to rest in the land of the kid’s play bin.
Ken isn’t a big fan, saying they are a bit garish and begging me to move to something a bit more simple. No way. ESPE is just my speed. Not to mention they are vegan, using no animal products. I have this thing about not using animals for fashion.
Anyway, I am totally in love with the new owlet in my purse. Thanks ESPE and thanks Uranus. My money, driver’s license and Q Card are in a much happier place because of you.
