Rainy-Day Activities for Kids of All Ages

| October 21, 2011 | 0 Comments

Of course it’s a Pro-D Day, the kids are home from school and it is pouring down rain today. There may have been a bit of sleeping in. But, that is about as relaxed as today is going to get for most of us. Here are a few ideas for those Fall rainy days when the kids need a serious to-do list to keep them from even more chaos than usual.:)

1. Get into the Halloween spirit and make some candy corn garland (tutorial is HERE).

No actual candy corn needed. So cute.

2. For those avid readers in your house that need some extra page spookiness for the season, whip up some monster page corner bookmarks courtesy of I Could Make That. Easy and fun.

3. If you haven’t gotten outside yet to do some leaf collecting, just bust out the coffee filters and whip up some easy fall leaves from The Chocolate Muffin Tree to hang in the window. This is a great pre-school craft that is simple and pretty.

4. We are totally going to do some Names Skeletons today (great for older kids). It looks as simple as writing a kid’s name in longhand with white paint, folding it over and then adding a head and body. So fun.

Have a great rainy Friday and enjoy the extra time to get creative and spend time with your sweet broods!
