SIX-STRING NATION

SixString1006091

In October 2009, Jowi Taylor and Canada’s Voyageur guitar brought their soulfulness to the Comox Valley as part of the Six String Nation Tour.

With a packed house at the Comox Valley Art Gallery, Jowi told the incredible, emotional story of how his travel companion grew out of a vision to unite Canadians from coast to coast as the Six String Nation. Then, we all got the chance to experience Voyageur for ourselves.

Music is universal, and connecting ourselves as a people to that which binds us so deeply is exceptionally powerful.

Jowi and Voyageur personify that and the experience made for one very soulful afternoon in downtown Courtenay.

Thanks to everyone who came out and joined the crew. The event was hosted by Laughing Oyster Books and friends including Our Big Earth, Vancouver Island MusicFest and the Comox Valley Art Gallery.
