THE STORIES OF LOCAL FOOD

Sitting down to a dinner table full of food grown, raised and processed locally is one of the most incredible parts of everyday life in the Comox Valley.

Get to know your local farmers, ranchers and food producers through the intimate profiles of Our Big Earth’s Farm to Family – an ongoing series connecting families to their food and the people who produce it.

We’ve met some absolutely incredible people and experienced some awe inspiring places like:

- A top family-friendly stop, Seaview Game Farm (venison and more) in Merville.

- Gerry Pattison from Pattison’s Certified Organic Farm in Black Creek

- The warm women of Finlay Creek Farm.

- Karen Pattison of BiteSized Speciality Foods

- Dan and Ryan Thran from DeeKayTee Ranch where beef, birds and pigs are some of the tastiest in town.

- Larry Watrin of Watrin Orchards in Comox.

- Sarah Walsh from Prontissima Pasta, the Comox Valley’s only fresh pasta producer.

Marla Limousin and Geogre Ehrler of Nature’s Way Farm with their spectacular organic blueberries.

- Ann Bayles of Happy Creek Farm in Royston where hazelnuts and walnuts are their business.
