- Crown Isle Resort dining room off of Ryan Road in East Courtenay. For lunch, this is a great family spot that is generally uncrowded and the food is just right.
- Quadra Island’s April Point Resort. For a fun dinner experience, this boat ride to Quadra is fun and tasty.
- Courtenay’s incredible Local’s Food from the Heart of the Island – a true local food experience.
CASUAL DINING:
- Avenue Bistro on Comox Avenue just before downtown Comox. A great, family-friendly, budget-conscious neighborhood bistro with delicious food and a fun atmosphere.
- Atlas Cafe on Sixth Street in Courtenay. This wonderful cafe with breakfast, lunch and dinner has a yummy meal to make just about anyone happy.

- Michael’s Off Main in Courtenay.
- Plates Eatery in Courtenay.
- The Park Cafe at the Courtenay Air Park.

- Dick’s Fish & Chips in Campbell River.
- Rocky Mountain Cafe in downtown Comox.
- Porch’s Take Out on the Dyke Road on the way to Comox.
INTERNATIONAL FOOD:
- Tita’s Mexican Restaurant in downtown Courtenay. Organic, local, fresh, yum.
- Great Escape Modern Indian Food in downtown Cumberland.
- Sushi Kobo on Comox Avenue in downtown Comox. This diminutive sushi stop is one of the hottest spots in town for families. Great take-away and fun for a one-on-one lunch.
- Courtenay’s Maple Noodle House – Vietnamese and some traditional Chinese make for a yummy, price-conscious meal for the whole family.

BAKERIES:
- Cumberland Village Bakery on Dunsmuir in downtown Cumberland. Fresh baked goodness (wheat-free too)
- Cakebread Artisan Bakery in downtown Courtenay.
ICE CREAM AND OTHER TREATS:
- Benino Gelato with locations on Comox Avenue in Comox and at Fourth and Cliffe Avenue in downtown Courtenay. Perfection. Dairy-free options too.
